Name: Lixion
Gender: Male
Profession: Bartender
Personality:
Lixion is possibly one of the most well known males in south side downtown. Living in an urban, crime infested city he has adapted himself appropriately to survive in the given environment, equipping himself with several things required of anyone who hopes to make it through the city streets unblemished. Smooth talking his way out of bad situations and masking himself with a convincing poker face comes in handy when confronted by vagabonds, and in fact, can help turn tables in his favour for the future. Befriending madmen and murderers, his job also has helped give him leverage in who he's able to meet. At the bar where he works they serve characters of all kinds after all, and there really is no discriminating against anyone in a bar setting. Because there, just about anyone is suspicious of something.
Outgoing
He seems to have a mellow, yet subtly positive vibe about him that attracts admirers and allows people to calm while in his presence. There's nothing condescending about him, demeaning, or degrading. It's almost as if he not only understands all your troubles but acknowledges that they are what cause your faults rather than anything else. He seems to know that no one ever really intends evil, but their provoked into it, and has the incredible human talent of unravelling peoples words until they realize just what they have to do to change themselves. It's this incredible confidence he gives others that allows him to have confidence in himself. His friends support him for the most part and have confidence in his sincere judgement enough to confide in him while stopping for drinks at the bar.
Talkative
Since a young age Lixion has had a knack for holding steady conversation. Even now he talks with his friends at the bar, but ever since he was a little boy he'd always loved speaking to people about virtually anything that came to mind. He could elaborate on simple topics and make even the most monotonous conversations seem interesting, and it all somehow had to do with the wise edge he had to whatever it was he was saying. It was almost as if just because he said it the way he did, the words spoken took on a whole new connotation. And they did. To anyone he spoke to his words held something more than just what he said, and were taken more as what he meant.
His job is just as much about talking as it is serving alcohol. People come to the bar not to get a beer, but to speak to him much of the time. They vent, get advice, and request his input on whatever confining situation they've been placed in. With a few wise words from Lixion, everything suddenly becomes remedied. Funny how he himself provides such help for people, and the alcohol he serves only numbs people into believing they have no problems.
Flirtatious
Now, on occasion a pretty girl may wander into the bar. Lixion isn't particularly picky when it comes to his taste in the opposite sex, but he does have a preference or two. In any case its no secret that Lixion has a downside with his gift for speech, and that would be that he can't shut his mouth around a girl. He won't finish jabbering until he's complimented virtually every aspect of her, and though he isn't blunt, his beat around the bush behaviour isn't exactly charming or seductive. He's all too sincere about what he wants from a girl and that doesn't tend to go over all that well, especially since most girls start out interested but lose interest the more he speaks.
Likes:
- Pretty girls: This like is obvious, but Lixion has a soft spot for attractive women, as most men do.
- Giving advice: Lixion enjoys giving advice as not only does it keep him preoccupied a she works but it motivates him to work. Ever since he got his goal has been to make money and to build connections. For what reason, no one is entirely sure.
- Listening to people speak about their history: he finds it interesting to hear about peoples past and about how events have formed them to be the way they are. It's almost like watching a documentary in some ways, but about a person whom you know in person. Which he finds far most interesting.
- Mystery: In any person he finds a sense of mystery exciting and perhaps even a challenge. He'll often joke and jest to get people to loosen up before he tries prying into their secrets, which he does very well.
Dislikes:
- Agressive customers: If there's one thing he dislikes its aggressive customers. Many of the alcoholics that come to the bar end up being bounced because they've had more than their fair share of booze.
